This new technique is a different way to descend the river. More playful, it’s an easier way to travel when the water level is low. 

The paddleboard is a a great sliding sport to do with groups, on your own or with your family. It is  ideal for passing through this spectacular site and making the most of the views.

Discover the sensations of the paddle board on the stretch of water at Castelbouc.  This package is ideal for beginners, find your equilibrium, learn how to move about … and have fun at the same time. 

Far from the river’s rapids, rent your board for 1 hour or more.

Discovery Trail – 6 km

The best way to discover the Gorges du Tarn gently and at your own pace

Take some height and enjoy the views ! Paddleboard allows you to take the time to observe the amazing surroundings. Fun and playful, paddleboard offers an unforgettable descent. 

This trail is perfect to learn how to paddleboard and at the same time you can enjoy the bathing spots. This section of the Gorges is the calmest and the least used in the main season.

What to see : the hamlet of Castelbouc, semi-troglodyte village dominated by the castle’s ruins, the village of Prades.

St Chely du Tarn

Classic Trail – 13 km

A sporty one !

You can alternate between surfing standing-up, on the stretches of water and kneeling or sitting down on the rapids, throughout your descent of the Tarn Gorges.  This route is a bit physical for one day but you will have time to really enjoy the views and have a few bathing breaks.  

What to see  :  the medieval village of Sainte Enimie and the small monastery above the bridge, St Chély du Tarn and its striking resurgence,  the castle of la Caze,  XVth century and the last hamlet before coming to the arrival point, Hauterives, accessible only by boat,  its numerous terraces, imagine them cultivated !

The + : a refreshment bar at the arrival point (only in main season)

Carbone Free Trail

Walk or paddle, why choose?

The Carbon Free trail combines paddleboard and hiking to fully enjoy the countryside

You travel by paddle board from Castelbouc to Sainte Enimie (arriving at the Activity Center). For the return journey take a walk along the Tarn to rejoin Castelbouc. Take the time to look at the wildlife around you. If you are really alert you’ll certainly find beaver tracks !

No time constraints, you arrive whenever you want  !
